[FEEDBACK] Diggus Maximus and Deadeye

Diggus: So with Diggus Maximus, you can vein mine with any tool or weapon. You can use a shovel to vein mine a tree or a sword to vein mine dirt. This leads to some exploits, such as when using any of the mine and slash weapons such as the ancient wand or the stick sword, you can vein mine with no durability decrease, making vein mining with a shovel and an axe useless. You can also vein mine stone and such with a mine and slash weapon with no durability decrease, but there's no point in doing that.

Deadeye: The weaken and slow with Deadeye is way too punishing. It caps at 3 minutes which is pretty long and just sitting in your house crafting things and coming out to fight some monsters around you preventing you from sleeping or something becomes very very hard at low levels. Currently at level 1 and 2 I am incapable of doing any damage to any enemies at all while the weaken is in effect. Any weapons I'm able to use at those levels do no damage.

Describe the solution you'd like
Diggus: Limit vein mining things only to their respective tools, i.e shovel only for sand/dirt/gravel, axe only for wood. I don't know if this is possible but it would make it worthwhile to use axes and shovels again.

Deadeye: I have a few suggestions.

  1. The debuffs could only be in effect while claustrophobia would trigger, and upon leaving the area the debuffs immediately cease.

  2. Remove weakness debuff and after spending a while in a claustrophobia triggering area (maybe 3 minutes), inflict blindness. Blindness ceases immediately upon leaving the area.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Diggus: Remove the ability for mine and slash weapons to vein mine.

Deadeye: Idk

Thanks bork for the great feedback. I'm personally not a fan of diggus, it has a bunch of issues on top of what you described (didn't know about that though). I'll be looking at alternatives.

I didn't realize it was so bad for deadeyes. I already "nerfed" the effect in 1.3.0b. I'll look into making it not as bad.
