Basically the vanilla stone cutter is super buggy for some reason. I haven’t tested all the different types of stones that can be used in the stonecutter but when trying to chisel andesite in the stonecutter into a different variant (which for some of them, using the stonecutter is the only recipe shown in JEI), it just shows that andesite can be used to make andesite buttons. When clicking around on the interface sometimes (not every time for some reason) you can get some of the other andesite variants to come up, like as if the button for them is there but it’s just invisible, but when you actually try to chisel the blocks, it crashes the game (or it at least makes it freeze for long enough that I just decided to restart up the game). When I restarted the game the stone cutter functioned normally for one use, and then when I went back to use it again, it was bugged. All of this was done in survival. I tried breaking and replacing the stonecutter, and removing the item from the stonecutter and then putting it back in, and neither of those seemed to help or fix the problem. I hope I did a decent job of explaining :/
