I bought the Unbreakable Diamond Saw for the five gold request in the questbook. Upon using it in a manual kinetic mechanism crafting recipe, the unbreakable enchantment was removed and the saw still took durability damage.

Re-applying an unbreakable enchantment to a new diamond saw saw the same issue happen again with the next crafting.
