Create Block guide book doesnt work on multiplayer

No amount of right clicks can open the book, I've heard it might be possible to fix via downgrade of patchouli mod.

It seems to only work on singleplayer

downgrade of patchouli crashes the modpack so its not a fix that works for me, can we found another way
