It would be nice to have a quest mentioning gas upgrades as you are unlocking the gas burning mechanism machines, just like the speed and muffling upgrades mentioned at the beginning of chapter 6.

The quest should mention that gas consuming machines consume more than the recipe shows if there are speed upgrades without gas upgrades also installed

Reasons why this should be added

In my original playthrough I had forgotten these upgrades existed and was burning way more gas than i needed to on my machines and was very confused why they were consuming much more than the recipes said they would.
