Certain exploration-related items / mobs for Chapter 3 and Chapter 5 seem exceedingly rare

I found it time-consuming or confusing to find the following items for Chapter 3 quests:

  • Lilacs, which only spawn in certain Forest-related biomes, for the Pereskia
  • Blue Orchids, which only spawn in Swamp-like biomes, for the Cloud Berry
  • Sunflowers, which only spawn rarely in Vanilla Plains biomes, for the Fey Light Spell Dust

One of the main issues with these flowers is that many people do not know about their limited spawn conditions, particularly modded players who are used to being able to obtain them via modded methods, and also that the biomes they're limited to being rarer than usual because there are biomes added by mods. I'm also unsure of exactly which biomes these flowers actually spawn in, since there's basically no information about them for modded biomes.

I found it time-consuming to find the following mobs:

  • Imps, which took me an hour of flying around in creative on a single-player world to find a single pair, for Industrial Leather
  • Beetles, for a Carapace, which is needed to progress into Atum
  • King Crab, for Aquatic Pellets, which are needed to progress into Atum

I have yet to actually see the following mobs spawn:

  • Scorchers (the purple blaze dudes), despite over TWO hours of flying around in creative on a single-player world
  • Foxes from Mystical World, which are required for the Wildwood Chestplate. Despite the game claiming they spawn in certain biomes, I have been unable to find a single one after hour of flying around in creative.

The mob issues might be exacerbated by the server hosting multiple users and having many builds that affect the mob spawn cap, but I did spend time looking for said mobs in single player as well and found them to be equally troubling to hunt down.

  • I added notes in the quest book on where to find the mentioned flowers.
  • Increased the Imp spawn rate in the Nether.
  • I didn't see the final edit yet (Beetles and King Crabs), so I'll fix that later.
  • Also increased the Scorcher spawn rate in the Nether.
  • Also increased the Fox spawn rate in foresty and cold biomes.

Increased the spawn rate of Beetles and King Crabs. Hopefully it's going t be enough now. If not, feel free to reopen this issue.
