DivineRPG water mobs spawn rate is out of control

Description:
DivineRPG water mobs spawn rate is crazy. They would spawn 1500-2000 whales/sharks/liopleurodons in a matter of seconds when close to an ocean, specially if you are underground mining below the ocean. I can kill all mobs and seconds later I have thousands of mobs again.
Not only this causes a log of FPS issues but also prevents normal mob spawns. As you can see in the screenshot, there were only a couple of normal mobs in the world....
Steps to reproduce:
Spend some time near an ocean biome. Specially if underground under the ocean so only available mob spawn areas are the ocean.
Expected behavior:
A normal number of mobs spawning
