Chapter 24 Quest "Volume Shrinker" contains incorrect information about automation of compressors. Advanced and Electric compressors are perfectly automatable with no fanciness required. Compressors seem to actually have a limitation but this doesn't matter since you can immediately make the electric compressor.

Exact fix:

Just completely remove the second and third paragraphs. They are unnecessary and misleading
