Describe your suggestion
-
Revert all drawer storage upgrade recipes (except for upgrade I) as well as their the buff on storage increase.
-
Keep the creative storage upgrade.
-
Add recipes for crusher/pulverizers/mills to process Rock Crystal ore into Rock Crystals with consistent NBT.
Modpack version: 1.85
Why would you like this added/changed?
Hello,
Currently the drawers upgrade recipes are... interesting. Aside from Upgrade I which is a welcomed change, all other tiers are unnecessarily expensive. Most players are fine with the capacity of a drawer filled with Upgrade V, so it's rather pointless buffing the upgrades then give them a much more expensive recipe.
Some players use drawers as a form of stock control by combining a storage downgrade with various storage upgrade levels to achieve their desired amount, below the default size. This is used as a self-stopping mechanism for passive production. The current recipes makes this playstyle infeasible due to how expensive some of the drawers upgrade are (cmon crystaltine nuggets for Upgrade III?).
If players ever need more storage they can craft the creative-storage upgrade which functions the same way as a blackhole unit, this further nullifies storage increase buff.
On the topic of Rock crystals I'm surprised to find out that Energy Crystals from Draconic Evolution now require Rock crystals to craft, because their varying NBT data makes it almost impossible to setup AE2 patterns with. Of course there are work arounds but why don't we give players a method of producing Crystals with identical NBT data, this will enable AE2 crafting patterns for the recipe. Players won't have to do janky setups just to craft this one item.
My suggestion is to add recipes for Mekanism Crusher, NC Manufactory, TE Pulverizer, EIO Sag Mill and other crushers the ability to crush Rock crystal ores into Rock crystals with identical NBT. This is implemented in Multiblock Madness (another 1.12 modpack), where the author added the recipe to help with automation, however it is exclusive to the SAG Mill.
