Exit code 255 but with more info

Modpack Version

Describe your issue.

Exit code 255 is one that locks you out of your world. But I have information that could point somewhere. I have found out that it probably has to do with Industrial Foregoing's laser drill entity (the one that resembles a beacon). The reason I believe this is because of how it only ever happens around the machine(s). I use linux fedora 41 and I use NVIDIA gpu. So please if there is any way to fix this I would be grateful E2E is an amazing pack.

This was one of the main problems associated with the exit code which I know does not tell much. The game crashed whilst ticking block entityError: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

commented

Exit codes are useless. Could you provide a full latest.log?

commented

The filtered logs you gave are not a latest.log

commented

This isn't on my latest but i have given the logs.

I have lost the logs and have not been able to reproduce the bug. ill go find the logs.

commented

I can't find them I guess I'll just recreate the error.

I can spot 2 issues in the logs:

  • your spark.jar is corrupt, delete it and redownload it if you use it
  • your world's planetDefs.xml is corrupt, delete it to let it reform.
commented

It's not about whether or not you've touched a planet - just that your world's planetdefs.xml file is corrupt.

commented

I see it's the same error. I haven't touched a planet yet. Spark.jar isn't corrupt as I have reinstalled it before. So it may be something else.

commented

Here is the log. I have recreated the error by hovering around a thermal expansion laser drill setup

latest.log this also might show you something becuase as far as I can tell they are different

Covering the laser entity apparently stopped the issue. Therefore I will be closing it.
