Describe the bug
Using an exchanging gadget to swap blocks using blocks stored in a dank, while the blocks it picks up also should be auto-collected by the dank, just voids the collected blocks. None of the blocks I picked up via exchanging gadget appeared in any of my danks or my main inv. It pulls fine from my dank.

This is a limitation on how the building gadgets work. You might try filing an enhancement request directly against building gadgets.

The trick is that it puts the blocks directly into your inventory and doesn’t look for inventories internal to your inventory aka a dank. If instead it dropped the blocks the dank pickup scripts could take precedence. But it doesn’t.

But shouldn't it be putting the collected blocks in my inventory in that case?

I feel this might be an oversight on BGs side... They seem to be all about dank compat so maybe throw an issue in there and see what they say... But yes, unless u r replacing a block that would normally require silk touch (like glass) without enchanting the gadget, the exchanging gadget should put the stuffs in your inventory
