The enderdragon does not drop scales

Describe your issue.
For a bunch of versions now it seemed the dragon has never droped scales, initially i assumed it had just fallen into the portal, but after half a dozen times & magnet mode it seems less and less like a fluke, and more like a broken feature 🤔

Did the issue happen in singleplayer or on a server?

I'm assuming you actually respawned the ender dragon with end crystals for this testing? The first dragon, and creatively spawned dragons do not drop scales
