Items deleted when picking up grave

If you have any items in your inventory when you reclaim your grave, the items you had on you are deleted.

I can't reproduce this issue, for me they're simply moved. Could you provide any additional context?
I had a full backpack when I died. Some items were soulbound, and when I picked up my grave, the items I retained due to SB were deleted. Most of the time stuff would drop on the ground, but a few times the stuff would just disappear.
