java.lang.NullPointerException appears in the console and while the bug is active it seems like it has shift constantly applied. Items instantly move the same way they do when shift is pressed and when in controls, anything typed automatically gets the shift key typed as well. It seems to be something with region textures reaching max amount if that helps. It also didn't go away when leaving the world and rejoining. It only goes away after closing the game and reopening.

Singleplayer

Open a chest and make sure the little lock button next to the up and down arrows on the right side in the space between inventories is not pressed..

That's a shift lock, and for some reason it applies in other places outside of an inventory
