Describe your suggestion

Currently, only ancient tomes for vanilla enchantment appear as loot in structures, making any non-vanilla ancient tome entirely unattainable (as far as I am aware after checking the wiki.)
This is a simple suggestion to add some, if not all, ancient tomes to loot tables that other tomes can be found in. (With the exception of life-mending and berserker's fury, as they are curses.)
An expensive method of crafting them would also be nice, as even with vanilla tomes players just cannot find the one they want if they have bad luck.

Why would you like this added/changed?

It bothered me that only vanilla enchantment ancient tomes spawned, I really wanted to get my hands on a good lot of the modded ones for my gear. It was disappointing when I realized after several days of play that many of the ones I wanted simply couldn't be found.
The lack of modded tomes creates a few odd inconsistencies, too.
Ex: Players currently can get a fire aspect tome, but not frost aspect tome. Same goes for quick charge/draw, thorns/icy thorns, and sharpness/magic edge.

Ancient Tomes are added by Quark, it's not so much a thing that the pack devs can add more of (that I'm aware of, willing to be corrected here), so asking for more variety in Ancient Tomes should probably be requested from Vazkii.

Fortunately that's untrue. Ancient tomes are automatically generated for every single multi-level enchantment (Which is why I would even bring up the cursed books!)
Every single ancient tome you or I could possibly want already exist if you look around in JEI.

It's just a matter of adding them to loot tables, I'd imagine.

Check out the blood magic dungeon dimension, they are jampacked with them 🍯

The blood magic dungeons don't appear to contain tomes for modded enchants either.
I've just completed three of them and found only one library, which had only vanilla tomes. (Two lures, even.)
So even if you could get modded tomes from that method, I'm going to say it's very, very inefficient and getting the book you want through said method is an extremely painful grind at best.

In normal I don't even have modded ancient tomes in JEI... all of the ancient tomes I see are for vanilla enchants.

which version are you on, and is it on normal or expert mode?

i am on 1.1.2 expert and we have plenty of modded tomes everywhere 🤔

My dungeon exploration was entirely in expert (1.1.2)
Perhaps there's some sort of bug?
I've gone and explored a few more dungeons after my last message and have found plenty of tomes, all of which are entirely vanilla. (30+ tomes)
There's no mention of any tweaks to ancient tomes aside from a bug fix to prevent a dupe, so I cannot really say how you're finding modded tomes and I'm not.
Maybe this should be changed to a bug report instead of a suggestion?
