Refined Obsidian too OP

Describe your suggestion
Buff Netherite and Aeternium or nerf Refined Obsidian. Aeternium is an iron or thallasium / ender dust / netherite ingot alloy! It literally has gold, iron, scrap, enderman eye dust in it! Why should refined obsidian be 0.5 armour toughness worse when it's so so so much easier to make...
Why would you like this added/changed?
A mf purple rock combined with some diamonds and some processing is vastly superior to netherite and barely outclassed by aeternium. I find it unfair how refined obsidian is so easy to get, and how powerful it is.
The armour. For something that's a lot cheaper than diamond but needs a bit of osmium and little obsidian, it's very good and easily lasts you to PNC armour which you'd only want for the modules.
In expert it may not be so easy to make but in normal, you can get full armour within an hour or so from starting,
i don't really use the tools that much and i think they are in an ok place
i suppose netherite isn't particularly hard to get with digiminer either, but aeternium which needs ender pearl dust shouldn't be barely better than refined obsidian imo
I mean this is comparing mekanism armor (which is developed in mind that you'll only be using mekanism) versus other mods that may not have taken that balance into account.
For normal, treat this as any kitchen sink modpack and "balance doesn't really mean much" should be your watch phrase. I don't really expect the mod devs to tune normal for balance especially considering how easy it is to just get overpowered using any combo of mods in normal.
I tend to argue it more in line with the fact that refined obsidian takes more tech to get online than those other options really do. Thallasium seems to primarily be gated via the end. Netherite seems hardly gated at all. Refined obsidian is mid-game tech with how deep Mekanism is in the pack. I just look at it as "Gratz on getting here" armor.
