Add required blocks to "Aura Generation" quest in Chapter 1.

Describe your suggestion

For the Altar there's a list of blocks you need to build it. For the Absorber there isn't so it's guessing based on the book and the layout. There doesn't appear to be any place obvious that has a list of required blocks.

Why would you like this added/changed?

Make quests more logical.

I had actually removed this list because of complaints. Since you have to have all the blocks in your inventory to complete the quest, it made it annoying if you made them a few at a time as you placed them.

I'll go ahead and add back the blocks, but not the quantity. In fact, I think I'll remove the quantities from the altar quest for the same reason, didn't realize that was still there.

Can't you just make them optional targets? Leave the functional block as mandatory, set all the multiblock bits to optional?

commented

Maybe. I vaguely recall that being problematic in 1.19... Also might lead people to think they blocks are actually optional when they aren't.

Will take another look in a bit.

doesn't the absorber have a multiblock preview that shows what blocks they are and where they need to be placed?

I mean, the whole mod is that no?

my 2 cents. it's a courtesy to have a sample of one item per in the quests so you can go into each and bookmark them so you can go make them while you're building it.

Anything more is pampering?

I like the one block per method quite well in all circumstances I've seen in e9e and e10

The preview is... Not terribly useful for figuring out what's what. Half the time you can't get a focus on the block to tell you what it is, and you're still just counting blocks from very vague outlines.

The book itself mentions nothing about what's required. (Like for example the IE book does with multiblocks, and Spirit)
