EMI Item Highlight not Working in Sophisticated Inventories

Describe your issue.
The EMI highlight item in inv function (double click on the search bar, same as in JEI), doesn't seem to function when either a sophisticated backpack of sophisticated storage inventory is open. Happens with all dark/light mode settings. Tested with SS spruce barrel, oak chest, SB backpack, gold backpack.

Just FYI, this was never a feature in JEI, this functionality for JEI was provided by the More Overlays mod which e9 never had even prior to adding EMI. EMI adds this functionality itself without the need for an addon. I did test and more overlays + jei does seem to work with soph storage mods, however.
I have messaged the EMI dev to see if this is something EMI can fix or if it is something sophisticated mods would need to add support for.
