I've heard Minecraft does not currently run natively on Apple M1 (and newer) chips, therefore these users get worse performance.

There are some workarounds available for it, notably a MultiMC wrapper or an improved fork for it.

Questions:

  • Are there any MacBook Air/Pro/iMac 2020+ users here at all?
  • Does this method improve your performance in vanilla?
  • Does this method improve your performance in latest FO?

If this works and there is demand for it, I might do a special MultiMC (auto-update) version for the modern Macs.

  • CurseForge edition is preferred over packwiz
  • Sodium and Sodium Extra's resolution capping should help anyway
