Hello!

Not sure if this is an issue across everyone's worlds or only mine, but I came across two ores that don't spawn according to what's outlined in the quest book. These being magnesite in olivine veins, and thorium in emerald veins. I remember thorium being a part of the vein in a previous world I played, but it seems like that was perhaps changed in a gregtech update between then and now. Using EMI, it seems like magnesite and thorium ore doesn't spawn at all as they don't appear in any ore vein diagrams.

Oh hey, so I wasn't going crazy when I went 4 hours in the nether looking for Thorium without finding any. I ended up giving up and grabbed some from creative mode, just to finish the quest.

That was at least 6 months ago too, so I guess this has been a thing for a while now. Though iirc, magnesite can be found from other veins too right? I've finished that part of the quest book, but I don't remember having to spawn any magnesite in, like I had to do to get Thorium.

Megnesite doesn't appear in any ore vein diagrams when searched with EMI unlike all the other ores so I'm assuming it doesn't generate at all based off that. I don't know if that's truely the case though since I don't know how it's coded internally.

Magnesite and thorium, do not generate. They do in 1.12 so probably an artifact from the 1.12 community pack.

Confirmed ore spawns now

Funny how no one realized until now that these two ores didn't spawn. Are these ores useless?

Probably. I'm going through my first playthrough ever, having done a few quests in the IV chapter by now and I haven't needed either of them yet.
