Your Proposal

Ztones add a lot of cool decorative blocks that can cycle colors/designs by CTRL-Scroll Wheel as you hold them. But, when any Ztones block is cut into shape using ArchitectureCraft, it loses that ability and can only be that color/design.

I propose:

  • A system that introduces compatibility between Ztones and ArchitectureCraft to enable seamless block modification.
    • This would be a system such that if a player uses CTRL-ScrollWheelUp or ScrollWheelDown on any ArchitectureCraft block cut from a Ztones block, the ArchitectureCraft block would change its color/design to match that Ztones block.
    • For example, a Slope A Start cut from Iszm 1 could be turned into any 15 variants of Iszm when scrolled.
    • If this is not possible to implement with the existing Architecture's Sawbench, a new, "expert" Sawbench can be added to make it more Gregified™

My concerns:

  • I don't know how either ArchitectureCraft or Ztones operates under the hood, and this may not be feasible/easy to implement.
  • This might invalidate some people's Lego-like enjoyment from having to manage the pieces.

Your Goal

I would like this feature because when I'm building, I'm using a good selection of shapes and colors, and switching between colors is always the biggest hurdle. Sometimes I run out of a specific color but I have a ton of other color in my inventory. Sometimes I want to quickly experiment with a new color, but I can't. Sometimes I need them condensed because my inventory is full. There's almost always no space left on the hotbars when you're using multiple colors.

Your Vision

It would make building creative and aesthetically-pleasant buildings/bases easier, and we'd move one step further away from eye-hurting bases.
