Your Pack Version
2.7.1
Your Proposal
Enable charging non-gt equipment in high voltage machines
Your Goal
Make charging stuff less annoying e.g. now charging an advanced jetpack can only be done in HV or lower tiered machines while the jetpack is made from EV circuits and IV cables
(Writing this whole issue took me less than waiting for the jetpack lmao)
This change does not necessarily affect gt tools which have clearly stated tier (even though it caps at hv you don't really have to charge them much)
Your Vision
Deleting this limitation would make it easier to charge stuff after phasing out lower tiered machines
Final Checklist
- I have searched this issue tracker and there is nothing similar already. Posting on a closed issue saying I like this change please reconsider adding it will prompt us to investigate and reopen it once we confirm your report.
- I understand this change request may not attract enough attention and thus not be implemented.
- I understand this change request may be rejected due to other community members think it's inappropriate.
- I believe this feature would make the pack better.
Waiting 300sec for a jetpack charge is just tedious, you craft it from EV/IV components and charge it with 512EU/t
Hmm… Maybe a retiering of it instead?
To have it charge in EV machines instead of HV
No, not happening.
Charging Lockers and battery buffers are excellent options for automating the recharging of stuff.
Use them.
Do they charge any faster than normal machines? I'm not talking about automating - I need to take the jetpack off and wait for it
They don't charge one piece of equipment with multiple amps
Don't know about multiple tho
75 sounds better than 300 but more gravisuite items should be retiered, e.g. vajra is EV but is made from IV components, both advanced nano chestplate (should be IV imo) and advanced electric jetpack (EV imo), UV relocator with 10M EU capacity is also EV tiered for so me reason, epic lappack is made from LuV/ZPM but is IV, LuV gravichestplate is also EV
To me it seems like EV was some kind of default back in the day that was never updated and was not made for balance in any way
most people I know just use the wireless charger instead. it's probably slower if the builtin battery ever died, but you don't need to wait by the charger, and it mostly ignore the tier liimit
I do recall the gt++ wireless charger code is bugged that you need to lower the transfer limit of some gravisuite armor to work though
