IC2 machine turns into different IC" machine when breaking with pickaxe

Your Expectation
Ignored the "Wrench" tooltip for destroying an IC2 machine and used a pickaxe (EnderIO or Tinkers) instead. I expected the machine to drop correctly or get destroyed since the incorrect tool was used.
The Reality
Instead of the same machine dropping it turned into a different IC2 machine. For example:
The Crop Harvester turns into a Steam Generator
The Crop-Matron turns into a Teleporter
Steps to reproduce:
- place any IndustrialCraft 2 machine
- use a pickaxe (Tinkers, EnderIO)
- use the pickaxe on the machine
- notice that the IC2 machine turns into a different IC2 machine
