Describe your issue

I just discovered a bug/exploit to infinitely increase enchant levels in survival using the mods "Biome Makeover" and "Jobs+".

Steps to reproduce the issue

Requirements:

  • A very powerful XP farm
  • Altar and Illunite Shards (Biome Makeover)
  • Enchanter Job Level 10+ (Jobs+)
  • Smith Job with "Enchantments from items to books" power-up unlocked (Jobs+)
  • Vanilla Enchanting Table and Anvil

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Enchant an item with the enchants you want to infinitely power up.
  2. Put it into the Altar with Illunite Shards and wait till the process is finished (this will increase a random enchant by 1 level and give it a random curse).
  3. Put it into the Anvil with a Curse Breaker (Jobs+) to remove the curse. Now you shouldn't be able to pass the item in the altar again, since the Biome Makeover mod prevents you from doing so, but there's a way around it.
  4. Put the item in the anvil again, this time with a simple book, to transfert the enchants as they are to the book.
  5. Enchant a second item with the obtained book from step 4.
  6. Put the new item into the Altar with Illunite Shards and wait until it increases a random enchant by 1 Level (it can increase again the same enchant from step 2).
  7. Repeat from step 3 as many times as you like.

Additional Information

I know it's a long process, so repeating it for every single piece of armor or tool looks like a waste of time and resources, but I think that's not necessary, since the mod "Create Enchantment Industry" has an item called "Printer" which can duplicate enchanted books using liquid hyper experience, so the players can just do the whole thing one time and then duplicate the book with a huge enchant as many times as they like. I managed to reach looting 20 with this exploit, then got tired, so I don't really know how far it can go, I guess the only limit is how much Minecraft itself can handle.
