[BUG] Immersive Technology Solar Towers stop functioning after a second

Description of the Bug
When creating a Solar tower or Solar crucible using the Engineer's hammer, the tower momentarily caused reflectors to turn, but it cannot be used, due to no access to the UI. The crucible also makes a noise for a moment, then stops. I believe this indicates that it works, but only for a brief moment, before it breaks.
The Tower is visually still there, but is entirely non-functioning. The UI is inaccessible, newly placed reflectors (on the correct level) do not rotate. When breaking a block in the tower, unless it is the central block (the one used with the hammer to create the structure), the tower will still be there in addition to the blocks it is built from.
Expected Behaviour
1; Using the hammer on the tower will create the tower
2; The tower will continue to function until its destruction, causing the rotation + function of solar reflectors placed within it's active area, and allowing its use to turn water or distilled water into steam at a rate dependent on the amount of solar reflectors
3; Right clicking the tower will open the UI for the tower
4; Destroying any block in the tower will cause it to return to the blocks it is built from.

1.6.2.3 (according to curseforge, although the client header reads 1.6.2.2)

EDIT; will also add that a search for 'solar tower' in the MC Eternal Discord shows almost no instances of anyone reporting it working, or even recommending it to anyone, with almost every time that phrase has been used being someone saying it doesn't work. It is worth searching this, as other users have made attempts at finding ways to make it work, to little avail, that may provide hints at how to fix the issue.
