Dense Steel Plates needs 9x steel plates at 30EU/t, but Steel Heavy Plating requires 2x steel plates at 100EU/t and overrides that, making dense steel plates impossible to craft.

All three Dense Plate recipes have been changed to require Blocks of the material instead of x9 plates to avoid that conflict. ty for the report
