Currently the extruder costs more and is slower to make wire than the wiremill, since automating it to make wire would be more specialized than a wiremill it would feel better if it was a much faster alternative

Extruder is a machine that can do many things, wiremill is for making wire. It makes sense that wiremill is more efficient.
