I just upgraded from Refined to Micro and went straight on to Nano while barely crafting anything with Micro. By contrast I was stuck on Refined for ages. If there is ever a big balancing pass I think the Micro series should become available earlier so the Refined timeline is shorter and the player can't just skip straight to nano.

Microcircuits will always be necessary for different things. This is more a problem of GTCE-like progression in Omnifactory's conditions - I don't see how it can be easily rebalanced.
