Not a large thing but the large pipe extruder shape required for the quest is mostly useless besides distillation tower recipe with large stainless steel pipes. The normal size pipe shape would be used for all pumps and seems a bit better fit for the quest requirement.

Considering that you're going to need a distillation tower in HV, it's not like you won't be needing it soon anyway. People are often resistant to making the tower but it's extremely useful.

Once you know how to craft one shape, you can figure out others you will need. You should expect to run a dedicated Extruder of each important shape.

The quest requirement is pretty much justified. A quest asking you to construct a distillation tower comes right after the Extruder, so a better decision would be to gate the distillation tower quest behind making an extruder shape since there's no other way around it.
