(suggestion) make the drill core a little less expensive

Or at Least more easy to find? because I started a new World and I haven't found a single drill core. I ran into 3 cities and a nether fortress, and got nothing! and 5 freaking 100 coins is very expensive(really!)! =By the time you get enough coins to get it, you end up realising that you need 2 and you have spent all your coins(that you also need for some ores that are very rare, like palladium).
what abou 75 coins per drill core? more expensive than 31 diamond ore, but way less expensive than 500 coins
I'd argue that the 5 dollar price on the drill core is about right. Though I will agree that their rarity in chests is a bit high - perhaps it could be tweaked so that their rate in chests is slightly higher.
what version are you playing? because in the version that I'm playing I got a lot of loot, but not even a single one drill core. You need at least two to make a automated miner = 1 thousand coins at least.
I can't tell you what version my world was originally on. I've probably been through about 300 chests (playing on a Lost Cities world), and have had (I think) 2 out of chests. The drop rate would probably be better at around 1 in 50 ish imo. I bought all three for my flux drill and Vertical Digger. You can always get more coins from the Bounty Board.
Omnicoins are abundant (you get somewhere around 12,000 from quests over the pack) and renewable via the bounty board, and originally there wasn't an Omnicoin recipe for drills at all. Damien added the current exchange to make up for the bad RNG some were having, meanwhile others were finding more drill cores in chests than they knew what to do with. I think the current cost is fair.
These quests do not gate your progress whatsoever, and are there essentially to let you know these things exist. It is common for players to reach the tank without ever even using a vertical digger or AA drill. Resources you need are automated from fairly early on using DML, then Micro Miners a bit later.
Ironically you can get enough coins for a drill core by completing DML data model quests
