They don't seem to have a purpose in this pack, and they might not even have a purpose in vanilla GTCE (in GT5U they are used for the Scanning mechanic which GTCE/SoG lacks). Needs some investigation.

I agree we should remove the recipes for these and hide them in JEI. We get questions about them every so often.
