Cannot access the "NITRO DIESEL!!" quest
Jesterino3 opened this issue ยท 4 comments
Pack Version:
Omnifactory - 1.2.2 - Community Update
Description:
The quest cannot be accessed as it requires a quest named "Diesel or Bio-Diesel" to be completed before this one, however, such a quest doesn't exist in the quest book. There is also a red line from the completed "Tetranitromethane" quest connected to the nitro diesel quest for some reason (see screenshot).
Expected Behavior:
The "Diesel or Bio-Diesel" quest should exist in order for the nitro diesel quest to be accessible
Steps To Reproduce:
Open up the Mid Game tab in the quest book and take a look at the requirements to open up the nitro diesel quest.

Curious. Do you have Edit Mode enabled or something?
"Diesel or Bio-Diesel" is a hidden quest that is set to auto-complete as soon as either "Diesel" or "Bio-Diesel and Glycerol" are unlocked.
Sorry for the late answer. I discovered that issue while playing on a server, so no, the Edit Mode wasn't activated at that time.
However, I also tested in Single Player (with the Edit Mode on) whether the hidden quest would auto-complete if I forcefully complete one of the needed quests for it to complete, and it didn't work.
The auto-completing function isn't working. I took a look at the Advanced tab in the properties of the quest, and tried changing some variables such as "autoclaim" and "isSilent" with the hope that it would auto-complete if I retry it, but sadly no. So I don't have any ideas on how to make it auto-complete successfully. Hopefully you'll find a way.
So far you're the only person we've heard from experiencing this issue. Neeve and I have both tried and can't reproduce it.
Did you update from a 1.2.1 instance to 1.2.2, or is this a fresh world? If the former, how did you update your quest book?
So this seems to happen only when the Edit Mode is turned on (regardless if in Creative or Single Player) and one of the required quests for "Diesel or Bio-Diesel" is completed through any way (/bq_admin complete [questID], or using the Designer option in the book, or manually completing it). Saying that, I can confirm that this isn't a fault at your side.
I am not sure how this happened on the server I was playing on, since the Edit Mode is turned off there, but that is something you don't have to be concerned about.
Thank you for replying and taking a look into it yourself. I apologize for the inconvenience.
