While the standard furnace recipe produces the expected EIO version, the Multi-Smelter produces the GT version of the Conductive Iron Ingot.

A fairly simple workaround is to use a conversion upgrade on your storage drawer to auto-convert the ingot, but we should fix this behavior if possible.
