Note: if you need general tech support for things like server configuration, Discord is a better venue. Please open an issue only if there is a clear bug with the pack or if you have been asked to by one of the Discord staff.
Pack Version:
idk
Description:
Smelting GregTech Copper Ore in a normal Furnace yields Forestry Copper Ingots, which can not be used for any crafts except Forestry-Related ones, GregTech Copper Ingots can not be obtained by any means
Expected Behavior:
Either be able to use Forestry Copper Ingots for all crafts, or get GregTech Copper Ingots from smelting in Furnace
Steps To Reproduce:
- Get GregTech Copper Ore
- Put in normal Furnace with some coal
- Get Forestry Copper Ingot
Crash Log:
did not crash
Screenshots:
no need
I've start the pack recently and things were ok, but today, 29.07.2021, several ores started giving wrong ingots in Furnaces (for example, Copper, Cassiterite, Tin ores). I got Forestry ingots from them (they don't even appear in NEI), which couldn't be used for any crafts except Forestry crafts, and there was no way to obtain GregTech ingots, which would actually be needed for all crafts. I'd assume there's an inventory check that transforms wrong ingots into Greg ones, like there's with other packs, but it's not happening
Please use the bug ticket form in the future so we can have necessary context. I've updated your comment with what is normally in that form so you know what we ask for.
My best guess with the information available is your instance is corrupted, as none of that should be happening.
I just checked the instance for corruption using CurseForge tool for it - didn't resolve that. I suppose I should just reinstall the modpack and make a savefile backup before that?
I'm not familiar with Curse's checking tool, so I can't speak to whether or not it finding anything means anything.
Try downloading the pack again and making another instance, and copying your original save file over. If that doesn't work, please update the issue with the requested information so we can look into it further.
