the scanner from Scannable isn't very convenient to use especially for looking from rare veins.


it is bit OP tho.

I don't think this is desirable. The scanner can be fairly quickly made to find specific blocks, using Omnicoins you can buy non-gated ore types you might be missing (which can also be used for configuring the scanner), and players largely have no need to manually mine after they reach MV or thereabouts.

Only way i see this working is as a late LV or early MV upgrade to the Scannable scanner, and even then the Scannable scanner's block detector upgrade is useful outside of ores so it might be a downgrade in some ways.
