Description:
While using an efficiency 5 fluxbore in 3x3 mode along with haste 3 given by cobalt armor set from ArmorPlus blocks will sometimes be broken in a 5x3 area instead. The bug happens 3-4 times a minute while constantly mining ore , much more frequent while mining just stone or dirt.

Expected Behavior:
Blocks should be broken in a 3x3 area

Steps To Reproduce:
Enchant a fluxbore with efficiency 5 , equip cobalt armor set and try instamining stone.

EDIT: It's 5x3 not 5x5

Have not been able to reproduce (on 1.2.2-redux)

Given how fast you're mining, I suspect what's happening is you're occasionally hitting a block above or below the level you were anticipating. If there is a bug with the tool hitting a 5x3 while in 3x3 mode then I'm not really seeing it there, and we wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

Used mouse keys to move the cursor only horizontally while at facing xx / 0.0 and the issue still occurs. Should not be possible to hit a block above or below at facing xx / 0.0

Then there isnt much we can do sadly
