Server crashes upon specific player joining

Had a server crash earlier today with this log:
Upon reboot, the server automatically crashes when a specific player joins and spews a similar crash log regarding 'Loading NBT data' -> CompressedStreamTools
Updating: Looks like it's a specific player in that region possibly. Doing further research now.
Update 2: Tied to that chunk - player was flying glider into chunk when it crashed. Upon another user teleporting to that chunk, also crashes server.
Update 3: Deleting said region file fixed - But wondering what the reason for the chunk to be corrupted was.
