Lunar Surface Drill really needs a re-balance.
Right now, 90s for 20% chance at a tungstate/scheelite dust means ~52m30s for 2 tungsten dust at the cost of ~4 titanium drill heads. These can stay painful to automate, but the yields should be roughly:
- stainless steel drill head yields ~16 W on average
- titanium 32 W on average
- tungsten carbide 64 W on average
We can make all yields better and play with power requirements or durations to encourage better drill tips.
- stainless yields 7 ore each at 50%, with 0.06 use rate (~16 runs/ head), 75s (0.8 W per 60s)
- titanium yields 7 ore each at 75% with 0.045 use rate (~22 runs/ head), 60s (~1.5W per 60s)
- tungsten carbide yields 7 ore each at 100% with 0.03 use rate (~33 runs/head), 30s, (4W / 60s)
