Describe the bug

A plague effect appears and covers the screen. Looks like plague particles, skin overlay, and green tint.

To Reproduce

I only know that it started happening to me during the plague gamestage. I didn't do anything special really, I just walked out of my house and it started happening.

Expected behavior

To be able to see normally and not have this effect on my screen at random times.

Additional context

It also started happening to my friend on the same server and they happen to live across a river from me, so roughly 50-100 blocks away. None of our other friends have had this happen yet so I'm not sure if us being close together has any correlation. I thought a mob in the area might be causing it but I looked around and didn't find anything.

Try /ctrlkill specialmobs:plaguezombie

command does not seem to work. I can confirm that it seems to happen when you are within a range of someone who has plague.
It also does seem to be like you are looking through a plague zombie which why i guess the command was suggested.
Going to a different dimension/going outside of a certain radius seems to make it dissapear as long as everyone is cured of plague.

so for me, it only seems to happen when looking below a certain angle and most of the time it's only in the beneath. we have had it happen in overworld after visiting the beneath though.
If i look straight up it never happens. If i look down it happens. I'll try the command and see what happens.
