Killing Sledge(Toroquest Bandit Lord) not registering properly[BUG]

Describe the bug
Sometimes on killing the Bandit Lord, he'll neither drop anything or be considered dead for the quest even though he really really is dead. No pop-up "The bandit lord is slain" or the complete button functioning for the quest turn-in.
To Reproduce
Get high enough village rep, find kill the bandit lord quest, kill the bandit lord. Only happens occasionally.
Expected behavior
Bandit Lord's hp drops to 0; he drops his signature mask item and a crown along with around a stack of emeralds. Popup Quest Complete appears and Bandit Boss has Been slain! shows up in chat. Returning to the village lord gives the option to complete the quest and gain the rep and emeralds.

i've heard some people talking about how sharpened edge was causing mowzie's mob bosses to bug out a little, same thing here maybe?

Try killing the bandit without sharpened. That my be the issue.
We think Sharpened Edge has an unconfirmed bug where the "sharp" damage doesn't apply as a player doing damage - therefore certain mod events (like boss kills) that rely on player kills to trigger don't fire correctly - that's me simplifying it without having looked at any code, but I'd guess that's what's causing this issue as well

Try killing the bandit without sharpened. That my be the issue
Did some messing around in a superflat creative world and sharp's edge does seem to be the issue, got a number of mini bosses down to an hp threshold where only the extra sharp damage would kill them and it seemed to baleet the items(mowzie's boss just became red and poofed), unenchanted items seemed to do the usual. Bosses that I killed were Frostmaw, Toroquest Lich, and Bandit Lord. I didn't test to see if anything else might've caused it and didnt really measure the damage down to the number but it does seem like sharpened edge is the culprit.
