Unable to craft basic starting recipes

First time posting on here, sorry if there's any missing information. I am trying to get a server running with this modpack but I am running into a bug it seems at the beginning of the game. Unable to craft certain items. I have tested this problem out in an offline single player world on my own computer and it works fine, no problems.

Bug Report
Unable to craft either Grass Fiber Mesh or the Crafting Rock.
Even if I swap to creative mode I am still unable to use the Grass Fiber Mesh to turn Gravel into Flint.

Expected Behaviour
Should be able to craft those 2 items and progress the game

Possible Solution

Talk with server host, I have they have done all they can to trouble shoot the problem and have told me that they have done all they can. Including a fresh install of the modpack on their end.

Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)

  1. Put Rock in Shapeless crafting window

  2. Nothing appears in the output window

  3. Put 2 sticks and 2 Plant Twine into Shapeless crafting window

  4. Nothing appears in the output window
    image
