The fluid pump is needed in the building recipe for the bottling machine which is needed for age 3 as you need it to fill age 3 items like the lubricant can and the Jerrycan. Aswell as the fact that all of the other Immersive Engineering machines are available in age 3. (The fluid pump is only available in age 4 and above)
