Several Issues with Font Readability

Hello! I've been enjoying this pack quite a bit, but there's a couple different issues with fonts that I've had to fix manually in order to avoid eye strain.

  • First, the default comic sans font cannot be easily disabled. The SF5-resources resource pack is connected to the resources of too many different mods—I could not disable it without removing far more than just the font. I've been able to simply rename the "font" folder in globalpacks to remove the font, but it'd be nice if the pack shipped with a separate texture pack for the font only so it can be easily disabled.

  • My second issue is with font shadows. As it is, font shadows have both an option in Embeddium's settings that disables them, and a mod, NoShade, which is meant to remove them. NoShade's presence in the mod list renders the Embeddium "Font Shadows" option useless. Additionally, even after removing NoShade from the mods, "Font Shadows" is automatically disabled on game restart.

  • Thirdly, the Mod Name Tooltips are sometimes unreadable—they're black, and when using font shadows, it makes the font partially unreadable. Even when not using font shadows, however, darker tooltips make it nearly impossible to see the name of the mod that an item belongs to. This is especially important in the Eccentric Tome, as some books do not communicate what mod they correlate to by their name alone, such as the Applied Energistics 2 "Guide".

I've changed the config color from black to white, and it's far more readable, even on tooltips with gray/white backgrounds and no font shadows. This, however, does not change the "White" tooltip for white items, which is still black and difficult to read with font shadows enabled.

Thank you for your time!

I want to add that the Eccentric Tome writes the mod names of the included books black on black. I rarely play, and I have jack s idea which book belongs to which mod. And thanks to the color choice, I never will.

Me too. Here's an example that's really hard for me to read. It's hard to tell how many white saplings I have.
FWIW, it's a bit easier to read when my room is dark.

And thanks for making this modpack, I'm enjoying playing it and I'm enjoying watching my favorite creators play it.

I tried switching to "High Contrast: On" in accessibility settings. That doesn't help:

Having a similar readability issue with tooltip colors, in particular the expanded details for Silent's Gear (hover, then hold ctrl+shift). Dark gray on a darker color is the most frequent problem, but there's others as well. Some examples below (I imagine expanded tooltips were overlooked, but if you do actually need a more comprehensive list, I can make one)
