Trapdoors STILL (visually) occlude lights

Minecraft 1.21.7 and 1.21.8 and 1.21.9

Sorry, I don't want to sound unpleasant to you.

I've reopened this issue (#384) just to point out this:

if you try to create an environment with glowstone blocks, and then occlude them all with trapdoors, you'll realize that not even a mob will spawn in that environment all night long; light passes through trapdoors and floods the environment.

This Minecraft behavior should persuade you to change the visual light occlusion of trapdoors, according to Vanilla default shader.

This will promote consistency between the behavior expected by the game and the brightness of the environments.

I think your users will appreciate it.

i did a mass issue close as i cant handle 100+ open issues of 2 years span of age, which is why it was closed for no real reason.
i will reopen them if they show activity again (which this post indirectly is that)

i will reopen that issue again, and close this as a duplicate of it. additionally my response to this very problem and your reasoning was already written there

I too have this issue with my lava-covered copper trapdoors in my dwarven forge. I would much love to have that life

Write into #384 , not here. This issue is a closed duplicate.
