Horse textures do not show up. Only head and feet of the horse is textured

This is pretty much the reason why I'm not really actively working on this pack anymore. Tasks like those are very tedious and I have reached the point on which I have much more fun working on different projects than Dandelion.
Thanks for reporting, maybe I will push myself to do the update at some point (which will most-likely still take some time)!

Hi there I might have a look myself I have been idly working on textures for Dandelion in my spare time. Will have a peek when I get home tonight.

I have just pushed all changes which weren't committed yet so the repo is at the latest version of DWM:
52c14ca,
3713463.

Textures still needing to be done:

  • Horse armor. I did the beginnings with the diamond armor, the UV is about right, just some pixels off.
  • Horse version overlays, like the dots or markings

As far as I can remember, those are the only parts missing for the next release.
It would be awesome if someone, not necessarily you if you don't want, can take this upon themselves so that I can finally push this update!

Between 1.12 and 1.13 the UV, meaning the coordinates of the textures the models use, affecting how the textures are laid out in their pngs, have changed. Or what do you mean? Explain it :D

It would appear that the texture coordinates have changed. Comparing the version from 1.12 with 1.13 they've moved stuff around.

I would assume for space saving, the 1.13 texture file is a lot smaller.

This is indeed the case. I have already adapted every horse texture to this new format. Sadly, Dandelion's horse UVs are done in a 32x32 style, so that the file is still double the size of the original, but that's just how it is

Well that makes me feel like a dook I should have peeked at the files from both versions first. ๐Ÿ˜› With Forge currently not out for 1.13 I do not believe this would be a mod issue, maybe Minecraft itself is causing something.

I did just try using Iron/Gold armour with said horse and-- it made it invisible. ๐Ÿ˜† I can't replicate this bug.

Yeah, iron and gold armor still need to be mapped to the new format (and adjusted a bit)

So I spawned like 200 horses on a fresh copy of Minecraft 1.13.2, didn't encounter any issues, so I don't know how to explain @Paenthy's issue.

The problem is that this very version of Dandelion does contain the fixed horse textures and also the fixed stone brick variants but there's still work to do in order for me to be able to release it, which you can see taking a look at this: #18 (comment)

Still quite new to texturing myself, even for the tiny amount I done for AppleSkin it actually took me hours. ๐Ÿคฃ But I would be happy to give helping a try! ๐Ÿ˜ธ
