What resolution are you using for this? As said by Pomi, if the resolution is so low it wont be able to render the UI/text properly.

ui elements are broken, i have no issues with text

Define "broken".

uninstalling this pack makes ui elements borders normal

please use only faithful when reporting bugs, since no one else had this issue ever, it leads me to assume this is an issue with one of the other packs you are using rather than faithful

1x scaling, but noticable on 2x too

commented

hmm why is your font like that? thats not the vanilla font or the faithful font

What is broken, exactly? Seems like the game is just being rendered at a resolution so low it's not even able to display the text and UI at their original resolutions

Faithful 32x and 64x do not scale properly on odd scales including 3, use an even scale like 2 or 4.

commented

switching to fullscreen 1080p proved to be an effective workaround, but will this scaling issue ever be addressed? can it even be fixed?

commented

GUI scales in Minecraft are absolute, meaning a scale of 3 will always mean 1 vanilla pixel is 3x3px on a screen. So to fix it would have to be a multiple of 24, which isn't very viable.

maybe consider closing this issue

as minimiscus said, this is just how minceraft scales textures
