I tried to see if it was another resource pack but it's not.

The new leaf texture is horrible! It's no where near vanilla like and just looks bad period.. more so for people that want to mix differnt leafs.

This is an issue with your own game settings. Due to the leaf color you're probably using the sodium mod, so you need to change your leaves quality from fast to default or fancy.
