How to get a working resource pack from master branch?
Hey! On this page, you can find all of the modded versions going up to 1.12 :)

Hope that helps.
However, to answer your question, you would probably just compile all of the files into a zip file, and then add the normal vanilla 1.12 soartex textures in (since they don't appear to be included in the repo).

Thanks for the question. But I wont know how to build the pack from the git master, e.g looking for a Soartex Patcher for 1.12.x
I followed these directions to a T and I can't seem to get the modded textures to appear. Standard Soartex comes through but anything modded isn't showing for me. I played last year on the same pack on a different computer and I swear it was just drag and drop and now I'm questioning my own sanity.
Edit: I realized I needed to go in to each folder of the master and remove the inner folder with the mod name and put it in the assets folder. Solved my own problem.
I think more helpful would just be the Universal pack download being updated, unless I'm mistaken.

Honestly, with how slow things move around here (no offence), you could probably download the main pack over on CurseForge and be absolutely fine.

Hey there!
- Download the Master branch.
- Create a new folder somewhere and call it "Soartex 1.12.2", or whatever you want.
- Open up all the folders in the Master branch and move all of the "assets" folders into the folder you made earlier. (You NEED "minecraft" and "soartex_base", the mods you want textures for is then your choice).
- The folder tree should now be: "Soartex 1.12.2/assets/[[list of all mods]]
- Now, back in the main folder "Soartex 1.12.2" you need a "pack.png" (which can be blank or a black box or something) and a "pack.mcmeta"
- The .mcmeta file can be created in Notepad++ and you only need this:
"pack": { "pack_format": 3, "description": "Soartex & Mods" } }
- Save the file (has to be pack.mcmeta)
- Now within the main folder, select everything and zip it up with WinRar or whatever program you're using.
- Drag it into your resource pack folder in .minecraft
- Load the game and the pack should appear
- Make sure all the textures change.
