This mod reverts the pre 1.18 spawning

Is your suggested enhancement related to a problem? Please describe.
Before 1.18 I think it only had to be like light level 7 for mobs to spawn, but now it's light level 0. When using this mod/data pack, mobs can 1 spawn right next to you, but 2 if there is just a LITTLE bit of darkness, they spawn. Creepers are now overpowered with this mod because of this. A charged creeper spawned right next to me and then as soon as it came out of the ground it exploded, ending my 100-day Minecraft world!

Make it so that it has to be light level 0 for them to spawn, and that they can no longer spawn right next to you.

Spawn Animations does not modify spawn requirements, it just changes the moment mobs become visible to the player (they become visible when they are within the activation distance (default: 20 blocks around players), get hurt, or are near a target). To better match vanilla behavior, set the activation mode to vanilla in the settings menu. When doing this, I'd also recommend increasing the activation distance to allow further away mobs to play the animation
