βββββ⋅π§ AXGW IS A WORK-IN-PROGRESS PASSION PROJECT!
With "AXGW" installed, your Clothing Preference trait will determine which gendered animations are used by your sim. A Female sim with Masculine Clothing Preference will use Masculine animations and a Male sim with Feminine Clothing Preference will use Feminine animations. This mod is also MOD-ULAR, meaning you can pick and choose which animation sets are affected.
The only caveat is that the PC sim or NPC sim might need to stop doing their current action before AnimXGenWear can work the magicks.
Included in this initial release is one (1) MANDATORY package and fifteen (15) OPTIONAL animation set overrides for the Base Game. There are fourteen (14) more animation sets for the Base Game. Additionally, there are a number of animation sets that are DLC specific. The goal is to modify every animation set that contains gendered animations and bring them to heel under AXGW. Modification and testing takes time, so new animation sets will be added sporadically.
The OPTIONAL_BG_UI_SimBust.package is a special case. It affects the gendered Flirty "SimBust" that appears on the bottom left of your Live UI. You must delete your localthumbcache.package file to see this change. Your localthumbcache.package file is located in your TS4 USER FOLDER (this is where you find your Mods folder).
βββββ⋅βοΈ UPDATE CHANGELOG:
Update 11/2/2024 includes a temporary custom interaction for easily switching your Clothing Preference trait. It can be found under the "Actions" Pie Menu. This custom interaction is is ripped from my work-in-progress Gender Options Pie Menu and will be removed when that mod is complete. This custom interaction works on BOTH Active/PC sims and Target/NPC sims, meaning YES, you can switch the Clothing Preference trait of any sim aged TEEN or older and switch their gendered animation sets on-the-fly.
A version of this custom interaction can be found in my ongoing BUGFIX for Lovestruck's Costume Box, but that interaction is object-bound and only affects the Active/PC sim.
βββββ⋅π HOW TO SWAP YOUR CLOTHING PREFERENCE TRAIT:
By default, your Clothing Preference matches your "Gender" (Sex) so it must be changed manually to see the effects of this mod.
In CAS, it's as simple as swapping your Clothing Preference in your Gender Details.
In LIVE, you've now got a custom interaction for switching your Clothing Preference on the fly!
1οΈβ£ CLICK on your sim or the target sim THEN open the Actions Pie Menu AND click on the new interaction named Switch to [X] Clothing Preference. This is a one-click immediate interaction. Your sim will not stop their current action and they will play any animations to signal the change, it just happens. I like this minimalist, immediate approach.
You really don't need any of the following instructions anymore but I'll leave them in.
2οΈβ£ Press Control + Shift + C to open the console and use the following cheats to swap your traits. These traits are coded to conflict with each other so you've gotta remove one before adding the other:
- traits.remove_trait GenderOptions_Clothing_WomensWear
- traits.equip_trait GenderOptions_Clothing_MensWear
OR
- traits.remove_trait GenderOptions_Clothing_MensWear
- traits.equip_trait GenderOptions_Clothing_WomensWear
3οΈβ£ If you've got MC Command Center installed, you can use MC CAS to swap your traits.
- Click on your sim or another sim and open MC COMMAND CENTER.
- Navigate to MC CAS » MANAGE TRAITS.
- FIRST click on REMOVE TRAIT and type in MENSWEAR and click OK - Both "WomensWear" and "MensWear" traits contai- hold up, you could probably shorten this to SWEAR! Yep, SWEAR it is!
- CLICK on your trait to remove it then click OK on the NO MATCHES FOUND popup.
- THEN click on ADD TRAIT and search MENSWEAR.
- NOW click on the trait you want.
- If you're using the OPTIONAL_BG_UI_SimBust.package, you'll need to SAVE AS... your game then EXIT, then DELETE YOUR LOCALTHUMBCACHE.PACKAGE FILE then relaunch the game to see the change.
